USA After Christmas

The rest of my time in the USA was mostly spent in Houston with a little trip to Oklahoma.

Many evenings in Houston Mom would hand me off to Papa so that she could get a couple things done.  I had fun getting snuggles with Papa and getting him to dance with me since I couldn’t just let him sit!
I had fun playing with my brother and just hanging out posing for pictures.

Nana, Mom, Jacob and I took a little trip to Silsbee to see my Great Grannie again.  I enjoyed getting to help her celebrate her birthday.
We also took a trip with Papa and Nana to Oklahoma to meet my other Great grandparents, Great Memaw and Big Papa.  Of course I also had my first trip to Eskimo Joe's.  I can't wait to actually be able to eat the cheese fries.

While in Oklahoma I also snuck in another visit to see my Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Jackie, and cousins Kate and Evan.  Kate, Evan and Jacob kinda hogged Grandma so I spent lots of time with Grandpa and unfortunately that was the only picture I have from the time.
The rest of my time in the USA was spent cuddling with Nana or Papa!  I had a great time in the USA but was ready to get back to my home in Doha and of course to see my Daddy!!

2 months

January 5, our Hailey bear turned 2 months old.  She has had a very eventful 2nd month of life.  She finally received her passport and made the long trip across the pond to the USA. Upon arrival she met her Papa and her Grandpa and lots of other family.  She also experienced her first Christmas season. We will save all that for another, much longer, post.  On to the monthly stuff:

  Hailey's Stats:

Age: 2 months
Weight: 9 lbs 6.5oz
Length: 22.5"
Eye Color: deep blue
Hair color: blonde
Eating Schedule: Every 2.5- 3 hours, except at night before bed when she cluster feeds; mostly nursing
Sleeping: she sleeps like a champ, typically from 11:30pm-7:30 am and then will go back to sleep until about 9:30 am
Clothing: finally outgrew newborn and is wearing 3 month

About Month 2:
Hailey officially started smiling this month which is so adorable!  We just love talking to her and making her smile.  She also "talks" to us with cute squeals and gurggles.  So much fun when they start interacting.

She is low on the weight side (in the 6%)  but the Dr here in the USA said she isn't worried.  Hailey does everything else just like she should and so she just might be petite.  Except for the fact that her height is in the 49%.  We think she seems perfectly healthy and happy so we are not going to worry about it.
* We are still in the USA so I had to make a sign quickly with whatever I could find at Mom's.  Plus I've struggled to find the time to take the pictures so not my best photography job but at least we have them!

First Christmas pt. 2

While my first actual Christmas Day was spent in Wagoner, Oklahoma with my Sperling family, I was able to return to Houston to continue the celebrations with my Mom’s side of the family.

Once again I received lots of wonderful gifts from the family and enjoyed watching the chaos from my bouncy chair.

I also met a whole lot more of my wonderful family.  I met my Uncle Chad, Aunt Traci, Aunt Selena and my cousins Bailey, Coleton, Beau, Wyatt, and Madasin.  I also met my Great Grannie.

Mommy and Daddy took me on my first brewery tour of St. Arnold’s.  I was super lucky and was the only kid that was invited.

After the brewery tour we all headed home to watch the OSU Cowboys beat Washington in the TicketCity Cactus Bowl. Go Cowboys!

I got lots of snuggles and lots of attention from all the family and had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas again!

Sadly soon after the celebrations, Daddy had to leave to go back home to Doha.  I enjoyed all my extra time I was able to spend with Daddy during the holidays.
